 Hello Families,

As we enter into the Thanksgiving weekend, we wanted to extend our gratitude and appreciation for all our students and families. We love our kindergarten community!

Math

What is a Pattern? Ask your child what they think a pattern is!

We have been focusing on AB patterns using colour, shape, size, actions and movements. The children were asked to create patterns using different materials, as well as colouring their own pattern.

Literacy

We have been working on Literacy routines each morning such as blending words or rhyming words. See if you child can model how to blend words together such as pop-corn, foot-ball or gold-fish or play rhyming games in the car with you!

Indigenous Learning

We read When We Were Alone this week with the children. When We Were Alone is a story about a difficult time in history, and one of empowerment and strength. We discussed how children would have felt when they went to a Residential school versus how we feel going to school. The children then chose one word to describe school for themselves and coloured a beautiful feather to help create a collaborative display in our classroom.

ADmazing Savings

If you have not already done so, please return $25 or the coupon book to the school as soon as possible as our fundraiser has now ended.
